Drink to your health! Our aloe vera gels contain the same 200 biologically-active components as our juices, but have a thicker consistency than the juice. Some consumers find this thicker consistency to have a “soothing” effect. The juices and gels have the same beneficial polysaccharides, essential amino acids, vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Just pick a consistency that you like best!

Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice Supplement Facts

1. Should I use Whole Leaf or Inner Fillet?
While both products will work well for supporting your digestion, immune system, antioxidants and reducing nitrates; the Whole Leaf products, when tested, showed a slight superiority maximizing benefits in clinical studies performed. The Inner Fillet products have a milder taste.

2. What is the consistency of the gel?
With our thickening agent Carrageenan, which is derived from moss, the consistency of the gel should still pour easily from the bottle and be slightly thicker than a juice consistency.

I started having digestive issues that coincided with thyroid issues and gluten intolerance. I needed something to calm my gut. I tried some of one other popular product and nothing happened. I then started some research on the web and found Lily of the Dessert. They talked about the needed polysaccarides which was missing from the other product. Wow what a difference! Nothing happened at first but after about two weeks of 15-30 minutes before breakfast – my gut felt wonderful. I do not plan on stopping the Lily of the Desert gel product any time soon. I see different results in many areas – my gut feels perfect, my eyes look clearer, my skin is appearing more youthful. It has been a month but can’t wait to see what happens after three months of use. Thank you Lily of the Desert. B

I have been taking LOTD Gel for about a week now and I have to say it has helped me tremendously! No more crazy gas pains, no more bloating after I drink water, and am very “regular”… I take it 30 minutes before lunch and 30 minutes before dinner I can tell my food is digesting the way it is supposed to. Thank you Lily!

Is this formulation also safe for using on my skin. have been taking internally for a few day and feel good but
wondered if I could use this gel/juice on my face

    • :

Hi Annette- The pH has been lowered in the aloe juices/gels to work more in tune with your stomach’s pH. You can try a small portion of your skin to check for any redness or burning sensation.

I have been taking Aloe Vera Gel for over 40 years. It is good for so many things, just to name a few like indigestion, upset stomach, cold sores, athletic feet, burns, probiotic etc. I just love it.

I absolutely ADORE your Aloe Gel.
I make and sell ( on a small scale) home made face washes and body lotions as a result of my sensitivity to chemicals in most products.

and your Aloe Gel is the ONLY one i will use as a base in my Aloe vera lotions.

it gets the job done and i trust it so so so much.
    it works perfectly :)

    so thank you.

I love this aloe vera gel thus far! I am currently using it mainly to moisturize my skin, and have not refrigerated it upon opening. Is this an issue? It has not spoiled in any way and i am not digesting the gel. Please let me know. Thank you.

    • :

Great Pete! You are probably OK to continue use but we do suggest refrigerating the product to maintain freshness.

Please let me know if i should dilute this gel with water or some juice for ingestion? This is my first time using it. I used it on my face for the first time and it caused redness and face felt warm. But i liked the after effect of it once the redness disappeared.

    • :

Hi Joe- The product’s pH has been reduced for internal use. That is why you are noticing the redness when you used it in a topical fashion. You can drink the gel straight without any issue, but mixing it with another juice or water will not affect the potency of the gel.

I had a major and extremely painful canker under my tongue for 4 days that wasn’t going away. My doctor said it would take between 2 and 4 weeks to heal even with the anitmicrobial mouth rinse that she was going to give me. I din’t want to use that, so I researched more natural remedies. I’ve been rinsing with aloe vera gel 6 or so times a day for a minute or 2 each time, and after only 2 days, the canker is almost completely gone. Relief!

I wanted to ask. Your product offers two kinds of aloe, one with preservative and one without. Are the preservatives used, plant based? And how long does the one without them last?

    Thank you.

Also, at school, Natural Nutrition, we learned that gel is diuretic but juice is not. Would you say that this information is correct?

    • :

Thank you for your questions. We have used Potassium Sorbate as our preservative since we started making the product 40 years ago. It is not plant-based, as this does not exist. The preservative free product will last anywhere from 45-60 days once opened and refrigerated, whereas the products containing a preservative will last up to 6 months.

This information is no longer true as aloe companies have been filtering the aloin content (yellow sap, aloe latex) from the aloe leaves for many decades now. Our products, whether juice or gel, contain less than 1 part per million aloin content. Raw aloe contains over 10,000 parts per million.

I just bought this last night as I was recommended this for my skin and gut. I didn’t notice the fact that it has preservatives. Is this something I should be worried about?

Someone get back to me please.

    • :

Hi Anton- The preservatives in the gel are ones we have used for several decades and at such an insignificant amount, around .01%, you should be fine to use it. Now, we do sell a preservative free juice if you would prefer it. You will get the same health benefits using the juice as you would our gel. But people like the thicker consistency of the gel if they have an irritated esophageal or stomach lining.

I have been using proactive for a while now and it has cleared up my acne a little but I am still left with a little acne and acne scars in my t-zone area and on my shoulders.
Will this product help get rid of my acne scars in those places and at the same time moisturize my skin without making it oily??? Or do you recommend another product on your website to use for this problem??
I heard that aloe vera does wonders for your skin. Is your product organic and natural??
p.s. I do have combination skin and sensitive skin

    • :

Hi Bri- The aloe gel is best used internally as the pH has been adjusted for that purpose. You can try our 99% Aloe vera Gelly that is strictly for topical use. It works for all skin types.

Thank You so much!! This stuff is GOLD!
Thank goodness my friend told me to get this product after I gave myself a very bad freezer burn and allergic reaction from an ice pack on my leg bc I was trying to heal a bruise on my shin!
I soaked Gauze pads and left it on there just as my friend told me to do, and the next day already it was half the burn!
My Dr gave me Cortisol to use morning and night to stop any infection that could have occurred and told me I can continue with the Aloe Gel in-between.
When I went to see my Dr on day 2 of the freezer burn and it was almost all completely gone!! My Dr was amazed and asked me what is this I am using? I brought her a picture of it and she said she is getting it too! I have shared this with so many people and will continue to do so bc I would have had a very large burn on my leg forever!
I wish I would have known about this when I gave my back freezer burn with the same ice pack (which I now threw out) and now have a mark on my back. Now that I have healed my leg I will try some on my back too! You never know bc this stuff is a Miracle worker for real!!
    Congratulation’s on a FANTASTIC PRODUCT!
